He serves on Maryland's Responsible AI Council, contributes to EU AI Act guidance, and leads PROJECT MERIT — a human-aligned AI governance initiative. Matthew is also Founder of Tugend LLC, commercializing autonomous wheelchair technology from Morgan State University.
